I agree with you on most of this. Where I disagree is a 45 minute bullhorn interruption of a legislative session on the floor, being “free speech”. That is not a momentary “you lie” interruption.

I originally said the Republican reaction was “at least as bad”. No, it was much, much worse by orders of magnitude.

They could have 1) suspended the session and gone to lunch for an hour, 2) have the three eventually removed from the building for the rest of the day, 3) suspended the three for week, 4) most anything else…. Instead they chose a crazy authoritarian response that makes your article today true.
