My friend’s wife shot a semiautomatic rifle back in the day too. She had a run in with a motorcycle “gang” on the road. A few days later they showed up at her rural farmhouse ( when her husband was away).

While cutting the phone line and getting up the courage to break down the door and “rape and skin her alive” as they threatened, she responded with several well placed shots thru an old aluminum cattle trough near them.

They got on their bikes and never returned. Glad she was armed….and with more than a shotgun or pistol. ( I don’t own a gun, but glad my neighbors do)
